The wait time can range, depending on your builder, but if they can turn it in less than a month you're doing pretty good. On top of this, an x30 engine starts to fall off after about eight hours, so every eight track hours on your engine you'll need a rebuild which is around $1,400 from a good builder plus shipping and wait time. Add the fuel you'll use, transponder you rented, or purchased, set of tires, and a few parts and pieces, it starts to add up. If you hit hard enough, you'll have to get the frame straightened which is around $200, but you might need a new frame which is somewhere in the neighborhood of $800.
If you get in any kind of wreck you can expect to replace parts and pieces. Not too bad, but you have to consider all the wear and tear on your equipment you'll use through the day.
